Recommendations for New York?

I couldn’t find a recent thread with up to date recommendations - can anyone point me in the direction of some good stores to visit in New York for jackets/outerwear and footwear?

At the moment I’m thinking about visiting the Schott store as the made in USA jackets are less commonly seen here, but they don’t massively appeal to me and I’d be interested in other options that are more difficult to come across in the UK.

Standard and Strange is walking distance from the Schott store and will have the best selection of leather jackets. Merz B. Schwanen is also walking distance so you can check them out if you like their clothing. And you may as well go to Self Edge while you’re at it, it’s not too far but not walking distance. The RRL store is always cool to check out. They’ll have some great vintage leather jackets but you’ll have to pay an arm and leg for them.

I'll suggest only that Self Edge – which stocks Fine Creek and Iron Heart, primarily – is within walking distance of the other stores. @jeo and I have walked it together! Moving away from heritage, 3Sixteen and Drake’s are nearby, too. Otherwise, The Armoury has one remaining size 36 RMC single rider they've labeled a café racer.

For second hand look at L Train Vintage, they have a few locations in NYC. I found a west German Air Force pilot jacket there. The grey goat leather with sleeve pocket and knit wool cuffs and collar.

Gentleman’s resale in manhattan, I think it’s on 88th street, just had a bunch of leather jackets put out.

I like treasure hunting more than shopping, so I stick to mostly used stuff, but I get that that’s not for everyone
