Ridley Scott to direct 'The Forever War'

Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Alien) is set to direct an adaption of Joe Haldeman's Hugo- and Nebula-award winning novel, 'The Forever War'.

Scott certainly has a lot on the table! He is also set to direct an adaption of Aldous Huxley's classic, 'Brave New World'. I havn't seen Body of Lies yet, is it any good?

I wonder if Haldeman will end up writing the script? If not him, my vote is for Harlan Ellison. I know, unlikely, but I can dream.

What about cast? If only Harrison Ford were younger...

I jsut hope they do a better job than the Starship Troopers movie. Juan 'johnnie'Rico was supposed to be a rich Philipino teenager growing up in Argentina. I dont see how they arrived at CasperVanDien...

Forever War, the soldiers are young scientists conscripted into service.
Hmmm...maybe someone like Matthew Fox of LOST. He's already got the right haircut.
