Hi everyone,

Zipper is getting loose on my RMC j24 makes the jacket difficult to zip up, any recommendations?

Thanks very much
Yes send it to johnsons leathers in sF. Get a riri 10 or 8 and send it with the jacket. Theyve done two replacements for me.

The things is I can still zip up the jacket if I insist, looks like the stopper is not there anymore, any idea?

You need a new zipper IMO.

Wait for a uk based member to advise. I would have it replaced but not before carefully vetting the business. Obviously you wouldn't take an rmc to any old repair shop as they might not hit the same row of stitches and create an unsightly repair.

Also create a standalone post in the outerwear forum for a shop name in London.

Thanks, I was wondering if a Zipper Bottom Zip Stops could make the job

You could probably hand-stitch some of the fraying cloth near the insertion pin and use fray check to stop further fraying. That said, I wouldn't bother with all that, and I'd have it replaced with a solid zipper.

If you're referring to simply replacing the insertion pin, that's not something most people do because the fabric is torn.

Thanks a lot man, what is the price for a full replacement and zip in US? Just to have an idea of price?

200+ with shipping, labor, and a nice zipper you'd supply to a trusted repair shop.

You can find cheaper but unless, they have a good reputation, I'd steer clear.
