Anyone know a jacket similar to what Robert DeNiro wears in The Irishman? Much like Aero's 5-pocket "Hercules" but with mismatched pockets for some reason. Love the blue-collar functional vibe and I'm massive DeNiro/mob movie fan. This also got me thinking about the authenticity of the Aero "Teamster" jacket. DeNiro is seen wearing something like Aero's Teamster in the film but I wonder if such a jacket was issued as workwear or was just something the northeastern truck drivers just liked to buy. If I ever move back up north I'd like to get a longer-style jacket like the Teamster or himel's Canuck.
This is not an actual Teamster jacket from back in the days. Apropos Frank’s profession, this particular style is often referred to by Schott and other leather manufacturers as a delivery jacket. The jacket zips up the front, beginning a few inches up from the bottom just below the waist line, up to the neck. The jacket has at least five external pockets, with two set-in pockets on the hips covered with pointed flaps and a slanted hand pocket in front of each hip pocket. There is also a zippered pocket on the left chest that" Source: https://bamfstyle.com/2019/12/09/irishman-deniro-brown-leather-jacket/ It does look a a bit like the Sears Herculas as recently sold by @ton312 https://www.thefedoralounge.com/thr...orsehide-halfbelt-sz-42”.102161/#post-2730056
Thank you Mike. I had used the search feature before making the thread but spelled DeNiro as one word so this one didn't show up. Cheers.
