SAFARI SUIT II

Can anyone provide some insight on this item that just ended on the
famous auction sight? I was outbid but I must confess to a little hesitancy
on my part. It looks kind of like the suit Chad Sanborn won some months ago
if I remember correctly but those images seem to be gone. I can't tell from the pics if this is a neat 30's styled safari suit or a 70's leisure suit? The belted-back and pleat look neat but the contrasting stitching makes me wonder. Can anyone fill us in on the particulars if you've seen a similar
suit? Thanks in advance for your comments!

That is 100% vintage 1970s.

Safari suits were very popular then; see "The Man With the Golden Gun."

The cut is very similar to a 1930s cut jacket, but there is no mistaking that material or the tag.
