Sears Hercules Corduroy Coat XL Size

This is the second jacket/coat I have for sale.

This is a Sears Hercules Coat with a corduroy shell and a quilted lining. I believe the coat is from the 1940's based on the tag, but I'm not entirely sure. If anyone is more certain of the age, I'd love to know what it is.

The coat is in excellent condition and looks like it was hardly ever, maybe never worn. No flaws at all except for the size tag, which is now unreadable. I don't know the label size, but the coat is quite large. I tried wearing it once, but it was a bit too big. I'm 5'11 and weight around 205 and the coast was roomy. I think it would work well for someone between my height and 6' or a bit more. It would also fit someone who is on the huskier side well.

The colors were tough to get right in the photos. The corduroy shell is a dark pine green. The first photo is the best color match The other flash photos make it look too sage. The satin quilted lining is a dark mint green. The fourth photo of the jacket interior is the best color match for the lining. The zipper is a brass Talon that works perfectly.

I will check for an exact cost tomorrow when the post office is open. A ball park estimate is about $60 with insurance and 6-10 day shipping. Without insurance and with a slightly longer shipping period it should be about $35 I think.
