Shaping a brim?

Is there a guide for reshaping the brim of a fur felt fedora? I thought there was a thread that gave instructions on hat reshaping but I searched and can't find it.

Many thanks,

Winky D.

That Indy web page was the one I was thinking of-

I recently got a hat that had a very 'domed' brim, too domed.
I ironed it on the steam setting(hottest) with a tea towel(dish cloth?) in between- the heat and steam and pressure flattened it considerably, but as mentioned on that Indy page, some weight in the form of heavy books will help it when it's hot and steamed, rather than bouncing back a little.

Flattening is not so difficult- not so much finesse as shaping and styling I guess.

What did you want to do to it?
