I really need to stop looking at the Aero sale page... Once again I can't resist a bargain priced custom Aero.

Shearling Lined Highwayman, Heavy Cordovan CXSH, 44", S#3595

This is one beast of a jacket cut from an extremely heavy and thick 4 1/2 oz batch of Horween Chromexcel Steerhide in Cordovan. Lined in beautfiul natural colour shearling with heavy corduroy sleeve lining and Antique Brass Hardware. This virtually ******proof jacket is not for the faint hearted - are you man enough?

Shoulder: 20"

They're going to put in a new, heavier zipper for me. Guess we'll see if I'm "man enough" in a few weeks. I expect I'll be warm enough.

Because this one is shearling lined, it's a bit bulky. It's still a 44, which is my current size.

That's a bomb proof fortress of a jacket. The heaviest hide on earth plus lined with an entire sheep and then some. That jacket probably weighs 20lbs. nice pick up for the remainder of this winter and well into the year 4018.

I’d wear that in the rain, on a train, on a boat with a goat, i’d wear that here and there, i’d wear that anywhere....even to bed!!

We'll see when I try it on... I have worn 25" pit-pit jackets that fit OK. I think with 1" of shearling all the way around me, I'll be fine. But only trying it on will tell.

Looks great! Love the hide, but I would simply get too hot in the lining. It would be a one to two week a year jacket for me, but oh, those few weeks would be awesome!

Well, I have enough leather jackets that I can probably only wear each one 1-2 weeks out of the year...

In my experience the shearling liner eats up a good 1.5"-2" of space p2p. I had a 42" BL t lined in shearling that fit like a 38".

Strange.. I had a size 40 Longshoreman ( labeled as a 40 and shearling lined ) and it fit me like a 40 since Aero states that they go up one size to a size 42 to allow for the shearling but label the jacket as a 40.

That is exactly the way they do the sizing.

Sadly, I've learned today that I won't be taking delivery. When Aero tried to replace the main zipper, the jacket was ruined. I was so looking forward to having it, and now it won't happen. Really bummed out at the news.

You may have dodged a ****** here. Even if it fit, it may have looked awkward with 2” of extra pit measurement.
