Jules Maigret, or simply Maigret, is a fictional French police detective, a commissaire of the Paris Brigade Criminelle, created by writer Georges Simenon.
When I checked out how many actors have played the part of Maigret, I found 36 names. Amazing!
The two above are Michael Gambon & Rupert Davies.

Sir Terence Pratchett. His rise began with the 1983 publication of The Colour of Magic, the first book in his satirical fantasy series. By the 1990s, he was the UK's best-selling and highest-earning author. The Discworld series ultimately spanned 41 books, selling over 100 million copies worldwide.

Gregory Peck a Hollywood heartthrob, known for his rugged good looks, dignified screen persona, and classic chiselled features, which captivated audiences and made him one of the era's top leading men.

Whilst I have no idea who the fellow is, he does look the part though, I can tell you that his car is a 1936 Willys Sedan and in the background is The City of San Francisco Streamliner.

Michael Corleone has traded the battlefield for a spot in my home office. This Pop! depicts him in a sharp gray suit topped off with a gray Homburg that says: “It’s not personal… it’s strictly Funko.” That hat? Pure power move. That stare? All business. It is a stark reminder to never take sides with anyone against the family again. Ever.

I watched a current documentary that provided some extremely strong evidence that Jesse staged his death and lived out his later years in Kansas.
Hard to believe he would have abandoned his wife & two young children (after losing stillborn twin boys in Nashville, TN) to a lifetime of poverty; his mother, his brother, sister, & half sisters (one half-brother) fathered by Ruben Samuel.

If he was “tired of the life” he could have negotiated a surrender just like his brother Frank did. Frank stood trial three times & was never convicted of anything.

Of all the claimants who have come forward thru the yrs claiming he faked his death & was their ancestor, none have produced a pic of said ancestor with the missing finger tip. The skeletal remains from the grave exhumation at Neodesha, KS (financed by Bill Kurtis, A&E Productions) did not have the missing finger tip. As Kurtis himself said afterwards, chances were slim but it makes for good television.

The mtDNA from four teeth & hairs from the 1978 exhumation of the original grave on the James farm & the 1995 exhumation of his second grave in Kearney, MO match the mtDNA from the blood of two descendants alive at that time, over 99% (99.?% by my memory).

A print of an unknown tintype photo. Said to maybe be one of the captains under CSA guerrilla fighter Major Samuel S. Hildebrand in MO. From a photo album of one of Hildebrand’s men passed down thru his family. Post Civil War? Remains unidentified.

I like his style.
