Thank you Eric....and so sorry for your loss as well. I don't know the situation in Minnesota but here in Alabama it seems a little more common sense might improve things immensely.

I hope that none of us need put on a tie for this reason again any time soon.

I also picked up this book about vintage ties. About the first 1/3 of it is about a little history of neckties and pictures of ties from the 20s and 30s. The other 2/3 is full of photos from the post-war bold look era.

  3. Nice ones Dale! Neat book as well.

I’ve been away from the tie thread for awhile. Been some good ones scored and posted but this flamingo is a dandy for sure!

Thanks Dale. I saw a couple of guys out fishing when I went for my bike ride today. I really need to get a license this year and kick back on the riverbank. Ha ha.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Very nice, Eric! The knot planned pattern on that one is some of the best I've seen.

How interesting. Most ties of the period have vertical sewn tags or the labels are too small or square-shaped to comfortably hold the tie tail.

I wonder if this can help date a tie or if there was a point before these sewn horizontal tie holders became universal.
