Here are three ties I bought at a flea market in Portland, Maine, over the weekend -- $5 each.
This one's a nice, rich purple with the accents in blue. The label, partially covered in this pic, reads, Morey's: "Manchester, Nashua N.H."
The darker stripes here are a rich, deep purple. No label on this one.
This dark stripes here are a deep blue.
I just got my new bow tie from The Cordial Churchman, today. This time I opted for the Cecil, in a straight/batwing style (1 3/4"), which I prefer much more than the traditional butterfly.
I've always enjoyed how they take care to package their bow ties, so I thought I'd share the "unboxing."
Bow ties come wrapped in tissue paper and a chambray bow.
The personal, handwritten note is a very nice touch.

Each made by hand, to order.
Works very nicely with a tweed-like jacket, I think.

Continuing the British theme - British Hand Blocked. the tie is, of course, American. very fine foulard silk with hand blocked stylised floral motif:
