Nice tie Widebrim.

Mine for the day. Interesting duel fabric with the red being recessed. No labels. The stitching on the outer fabric was coming loose from the red, but a little mending and it's back on the neck.

For other reasons I was comparing "rollers"/calendered (green) with yarn tension method (red) moire fabric and my best illustration was a very low end calendered early 30s tie (standard "Hand Tailored, Resilient Construction" label), and a very high end Amos Sulka early-middle 30s tie made using the tension method.

^^You got that right. I stopped buying anything from Haband years ago, due to everything coming from Myanmar, Pakistan, etc. (and I wrote them a letter telling them exactly that). And here are two Haband examples, both acetate, c.-early '50s:
