I can't see any grain in the sleeves. Only creases.
Take a close up of the grain.
When I enlarge your picture it just turns blurry and does not reveal any grain.
I've post it for the creasses.

Aeroleather seal Jerky horsehide
Highwayman, about 16 years old. This has busted threads (never 'spread') and has been utterly thrashed for at least a decade in every possible weather. I give it a thin coat of Renapur across the inside collar and on the really creased bits every year or two. This is the jacket that started the madness and has kept me an Aero customer for a very long time. I had the zipper replaced (although it probably didn't need to be). The 'rivulets' in the shoulder where the topcoat has cracked have not turned into splits in the hide - I think I noticed this patterning about 7 years ago and it seems to be holding up just fine.

I occasionally worry that it's about to crack up, but it doesn't seem to even after me worrying for years that it will (admittedly, I only worry about it for a few minutes per year). What do folks think? Has this jacket reached the point where it's finally dying, or have I just been carrying too many laden canvas bags on my shoulders? Under a slightly less aggressive light:

No way, for it to start cracking, it needs to be wet and dry out in the sun, quite often. When worn naturally, your jacket would need another 35 years or so before starting to see any cracks

I live in Hong Kong, so I worry about the humidity (although the air con is good), but it's never gotten mould on it and there's no flaking. My Café Racer in battered seal is far more bashed-looking but only half as old.

. Aero's FQHH in brown is fantastic with some wear on it. I reckon it's the best colour Aero does, narrowly eclipsing Cordovan.

Greetings from a longtime lurker and rare poster!
This is my Walter Dyer cross-zip. I'd guess it's from the early 90s, based on some of the patches and styling. It's my cheapest jacket, and currently probably my favorite. There's something about it that is a cross between Mad Max and classy. It's been around the block, but is in remarkable shape...so much history! I've done nothing to it but clean with some Lexol and condition with the same, and it probably weighs 9lbs. I'm pretty sure it's steerhide, but the arms have devolved into something almost reptilian

I wasn't expecting much from this Lost Worlds G-1 at first but WOW! The grain is amazing and it has become softer and softer and taking on a sheen as well. That's what I love about the old goatskin G-1s you see around they seem to take on a shine from being worn a lot.
On my jacket the seams have puckered up a little and starting to gloss up on the higher contact areas where it's raised. Really loving the way this jacket is changing, and even though I gained about 10kg it still fits really great, maybe even better since it was a bit big on me before.
The pockets however, looks completely flat basically, the leather is layered up and too thick to crease readily like the rest of the jacket so I don't have much changes going on there YET!
