Silent Titles

From alt.movies.silent:

IFC, which almost never shows silent films, has scheduled two for
broadcast in October: Pandora's Box on October 17, and Benjamin's
Christensen's Haxan on Halloween.

Haxan is a wonderful film, but it is not clear which version IFC is
showing. The original 1922 version runs to 104 min., while the 1968
re-release with narration by William Burroughs runs 76 min. The IFC
film notes says the film is 74 min., but it does not mention Burroughs,
and the scheduled time slot is long enough to accomodate the original
version.

Yay! :D

It's usually available on cable or satellite systems. They play mostly modern independent movies, with the occasional foreign title, as well.

I'll have to hunt down a pal and use them for their cable/satellite (I do only broadcast or else I'd camp in front of the set to watch TCM, IFC, BBC, blah, blah, blah...)

It'd be great to see Pandora again.

November 14th is Louise's 100th b-day. This may explain the number of film revivals for her lately...
