I'm tough to fit between 7 1/4 7 3/8 7 1/2...its tough buying hats online.
I have an old Knox open road that is a stellar fit.
I'd like to send it to a hat maker and have him use that hat to size a custom hat for me then send both hats back.
Is this possible?

Sorry I can't answer your question directly, but I can tell you that there is a drastic difference between 7 1/4, 7 3/8, and 7 1/2. Maybe you're having difficulty because you're a Long Oval / Extra Long Oval / Wide Oval / Extra Wide Oval fit? What is the exact size of the Knox?

Don't need to send your hat...

A custom hatter, like Art, will send you a "conformer" that measures your head so that they can build the hat specifically to your head's shape and size.

The conformer makes life WAY easier for the hatter Cowboy and you'll get a much more accurate fit than with a well fitting fedora. It's just part of the service of Bespoke.

About your noggin dilhemma...

Hey fellows, what do you think about Newspapercowboy looking for hats with a Long Oval designation? Weren't those made to fit the hard to fit?

But a custom or bespoke hat is your best bet in my opinion for a nice fit if it fits your budget. If I may play the role of a shameless plug, Art does excellent work. I cannot vouch for it as far as first person experience, but from what I have seen, it is well worth every cent you pay for.

Hope I helped,

Bogie.
