I just bought a pair of Stacy Adams "Madison" short boots that seem to be pretty comfortable. While they are not even close to being the shoe my Aldens are, they also cost a 1/3 of what I paid for my 405s. I haven't worn them all that much, but I came to a conclusion within two minutes of putting them on: these are the SQUEAKIEST shoes I have ever owned in my LIFE! Is there anything that can be done about this? I am considering giving them a coat of Pecard's to see if that helps. Any suggestions? The squeak won't keep me from wearing them, but it will sure garner me some funny looks from my co-workers!
