Those Ads are such a riot. Makes me wish we had that kind of help today. If you haven't noticed, most of us men dress like slobs today.

Speak for yourself, Renderking!
I was managing a museum last year, and decided to wear a coat and tie to work every day. Then, when I started grad school last Fall, I made a conscious decision to not go out of the house without a coat and tie or suit. I've stuck to that plan, for the most part, and never regretted it. Even if I'm just going to the store for milk and eggs. It's amazing how many compliments I get on my attire, though I think it's the hat that sets me apart. When I first showed up at grad school, the department head told me he hoped I would set an example for the professors to dress up a little more!
I genuinely feel like our society has lost a lot of civility since (most) men stopped wearing hats, and dressing up everyday. It's true that the way you dress affects your attitude.
I just bought my first double-breasted suit, and wore it for the first time yesterday. I felt even more dressed up than usual. A fellow student asked, "Wedding or funeral?" Yet, the double-breasted suit was simply everyday attire in the 30s and 40s. How far have we come? I doubt those days will ever return, but we can hope and dream, can't we?
And now back to our regularly scheduled topic: I love the hat ads, they are a great slice of cultural history. Keep 'em coming!
