I wqs just thinking about the great old comic strip, Terry and the Pirates. It ran from 1934 through the 60's. Here are a couple of links to a few of the panels, etc. Great stuff.

A famous strip from WW II, where Col. Flip Corkin tells the newly commissioned Terry a few things about military and aviation tradition. This strip was read into the Congressional Record:

Milton Caniff left the strip after 1946 to start Steve Canyon, a pretty cool strip in its own right.

Hi

I watched the 1930's movie serials on DVD last month. I left them with my Dad to watch. It was really weird to watch all of the Europeans just expecting anybody else to do their work. Terry was a trip, "gee willikers".
