One more thing: Richard Gere's fedoras in THE COTTON CLUB are the most authentically period-looking I've ever seen in a modern American film.

Great but I already have a copy of the standard on vhs. Probably need to get a dvd though. It's just one of those films that gets better with time,
like a fine bottle of wine, or like me

I had a VHS copy; now I have the DVD. The difference is night and day. The DVD print is very sharp, very clear, and the colors are vivid. Better than the movie looked in the theaters.
