An interesting website detailing a specific style I clearly recall being prominent along the Northeast corridor from the mid 1950's to the mid 1970's.
One item I did not yet see illustrated is white flannel pants. There used to be a very ivy mens shop in Princeton years back. I seem to remember the salesmen wearing white flannel trousers, white bucks, white button down collar shirts, repp ties and tape measurers draped like scarves.
Not a lot on hats, I admit. However, as memory serves, I can picture any number of plaid/madras driving flat caps sported in that era.
