This photo was discovered recently in Louisville. Parker Beam (Left, with hands in belt), "Allie Heart" (Albert Hart, with flat brim hat), Ed Beam (Looking into his cup) and Jim Beam (holding post) at Old Tub Whiskey circa mid to late 1890s. By Evans Art. Co., Elizabethtown and Bardstown, Kentucky. Jim and his brother Park Beam took over the family's distillery operations in 1892 from Jim's father David, renaming the company to Old Tub, which was their best-best selling brand. The brand's name was a reference to the large mash tubs in which mash was mixed, cooked, and stirred by hand. The distillery was later renamed simply "Jim Beam." In partnership with Jim and Park was David Beam's son-in-law Albert Hart. Ed Beam is the young lad looking into his cup. He is the son of Jim and Park Beam's brother Jack (the youngest of the Beam boys). Ed Beam and Jack Beam later started Early Times whiskey and were both renowned distillers in their own right.
