And for the guild.......not sure of the date frame other than before the mid-80's as it does not include metric on the tag and has the union stamp on the back. 10X Beaver 6 cord.....More in the Shudde Brothers thread: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/shudde-bros-hatters-in-houston.3928/post-3080057

I love the "roping" around the tip.......

Inside and out, that's one great looking Resistol, Mark.

Has a Bob Dylan vibe to it.

Resistol 3X Beaver Missoula. Very soft felt…some of the nicest 3X I’ve handled.

Here is a recent acquisition and I’m impressed with the quality. I own other 20X Resistols (Diamond Horseshoe and Black Gold) and the felt quality on this hat seems superior with much higher Beaver content.

The seller didn’t know much about the hat but my research shows it was customized/accessorized by Montecristi Hats out of Santa Fe. The hat band is artist signed and made of sterling (a similar one is available on the retailer’s website https://www.montecristihats.com/product/lone-star-sterling-hat-band/)

That's a beautiful hat, I love the colour, it has the depth of colour and quality of reflecting light and shadings that only good felts that are finely finished seem to have.

Here is a 3X Beaver El Lobo that I recently picked up. The hat was very dirty and abused with no size tag but I took a chance on it based on the measurements provided and my positive experiences with similar hats in the past. This one cleaned up nicely and turned out to be a 7 5/8. I removed the plastic part of the liner as it was cracked and falling apart but everything else is in great shape. I dry shaped it into a Gus for now.

Pre-1968 Resistol Wide Country Beaver Fifty. 2 3/8 inch brim and 5 1/2 inch open crown. There's no mfg tag. Beautiful felt.

Resistol Twenty, bought today and hasn't arrived yet. I've only seen 2 other Twentys on the Lounge with this same Resistol logo on the liner, seems like maybe pre 1950. The first use of "Kitten Finish" was 1943. Looks like it might have a Cavanagh edge. Maybe nobody bought it before me because he had a shipping price of $118 on it, which of course was an error.

Circa 1970 Resistol XDoubleX "Tulsa" in Silverbelly. Like many of the Resistols in this color it has some nice grey tones and changes greatly depending on the light. This is with full flash and is darker than the two Silverbelly Stetson OR's next to it. It has a 5 5/8 Open Crown and a 2 3/4 bound edge brim with a bit of a upturn at the edge...kind of a "kettle finish". I brushed it up good and dry creased it as shown. Very nice thin felt.
