Doesn't seem to be a Resistol but some mexican brand hat with a Resistol liner.
No resistol marks on the sweatband and there is a "hecho in mexico" on the size tag.

Thank you Joao! Just finished watching "Appalossa" again & I'm feeling no pain so I will revisit the issue again tomorrow!

Tan Resistol thin ribbon. My best guess on age is late 40's but I could be wrong. Incredible felt quality. Nice to have a vintage thin ribbon Resistol in something other than silverbelly.

Thanks! I picked it up on eBay. Definitely not a bargain find but I shudder to think what this hat would cost new. It came with a box that is from a later era, but not a big deal for me. I have plenty of old Resistol hat boxes to park this one in.
