I got this Resistol Twelve Fifty (Kitten Finish) a few days ago. It is a San Antonio style, but doesn't say the model anywhere. The crown was unshaped and I prefer a cattleman's crease, so Ive been working to get that back. The size wasn't posted, but I found that it's a 7.5, which is too large for me. I'll probably try some reducers from Amazon because I love the hat.
I believe it's from the mid-1940's to early 50's with some of the details like the oil skin liner cover, unique O's, and the designed by Harry Rolnick logo. Please correct me if I'm wrong or if you see anything else that would narrow it down. It also has some staining on back from the metal oxidation. I haven't done any cleaning, except for some brushing. Is it worth trying to remove that? It doesn't bother me whatsoever, so I probably won't mess with that.
