The Stetson Premier: Ready for Prime Time

I searched the forum high and low and did not find a thread dedicated to the Stetson Premier.

The hat seems to fall into a mystery category. Stetson first used the label in commerce in 1902. Premier probably meant one quality designation during one decade and shifted to another quality level later, similar to the Stetson Special. The label was also used in the Stetsons manufactured overseas.

Here in this early 1900s poster featured on multiple threads we find the stiff-hat Premier priced at $39 a dozen. I believe someone indicated this was the wholesale price.

For reference, towards the bottom of the poster note the 3X cost $60 per dozen.

Alan! You hit it out of the park! Wow!

Thank you... I think you will find other examples of the early Premier Quality mark in the pre-1940s Stetson Dress hats thread and the Exposition Medals thread, though both have been affected by the broken link to photographs virus over the years.
