The Isle of Man is home to the TT Motorcycle race, since 1906.

And today, the first ever emission-free TT motorcycle race took place.

Winner of the Open Class, Electric Motorsport - Tech Engineer, Raul Aguilar Iñarritu, Senor 1929, my husband!

Just had to brag a bit...

and there are tons of cool vintage motorcycle pics on the web from past TTs...

I have numerous fond (and frightened!) memories of the IOM TT races.

Please offer your brave and innovative spouse my congratulations and admiration.

Congratulations to your husband.

A legendary race and as Mr Johnson says not without instances of sheer terror!

I can see the dangers of a quiet 'bike. I remember running out of petrol coming down the Mountain one Mad Sunday and thinking that I could freewheel to the bottom. It was pleasant, swishing along in neutral, crouched on the tank, not losing much speed, when a guy stepped out in front of me...

Exactly, it can be dangerous. That is a dangerous course anyway, sadly, the driver of the bike that came in third in their class was killed the very next day ni a different TT race.
Not for the faint of heart. I thank the stars that Senor 1929 is only a tech and not a driver!
