Up-and-coming jacket makers?

Greetings, All!

As a newbie, I'm curious:

Since every now-desirable brand started somewhere, who are the new up-and-comers in quality men's leather jackets? Where did you find/discover/get a recommendation? What makes a jacketmaker desirable to you?

I made a mistake by ordering a "too good to be true" jacket from Pakistan. I wish to avoid making that mistake again. And while I'm now saving for a top-shelf jacket, I'm always curious. Who is the new Aero? Which hungry, talented designer/company is going to compete with Eastman, or Langlitz, or Thedi?

I'm a sucker for a talented, determined underdog looking to earn a seat at the table. In the end, though, quality matters most to me.

So, who do you think will be that designer and jacketmaker of tomorrow's collectors? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Cheers!

Leilah from Rugged West seems to definitely be someone to watch out for, from first hand knowledge. I got my first leather jacket from RW and pretty happy with what I got. She has some teething troubles (mainly in the communication delay department) but otherwise, a great person and her work is good. Though of course not top tier yet, but Im sure RW will go places in the next few years.

Double Helix and Rainbow Country. Both still need their hardware replaced at some point though.

She seems to be moving away from mid range jackets and aiming more for high-end high-priced named-tannery stuff though. But the mid-range stuff is still up on the website.

I guess I'd mention Tailor Brando and Brake House as options that appeared rather recently.

They aren't makers but higher-end Chinese leather jacket re-sellers that offer good customer support.

Haven't heard of any other upcoming brands other than that. You'll always have a constant stream of new Pakistani ****mers and trash sellers trying to convince you that their stuff is the absolute best **** ever though. RedTubeXBT is a notable persistent one if you want to give the Pakistani boys another chance:

If youre in the DACH region, I’d consider Mark Grether.
He has an ultra-individual approach, and will do no more than ca. four jackets/year.

As others, I am monitoring what Leilah is doing with RW with great interest.

Thank you! Yeah, I've detailed my experience with Fivestar Leather on that dedicated thread a few weeks back-- the jacket looked cool but then I developed a rash from it. Done, done, and donesville!
