USN M-445?

Reading Lost Worlds' blurb accompanying their ANJ-4, the blurb mentions a USN M-445 [series] as being one of the precursors of the ANJ-4. I did a quick-and-dirty AltaVista search for "445" and fight jacket. The only link I found was http://www.noble-house.eu/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/54 on a web site identified as Noble House. There are several graphics showing what I assume is an M-445 but no description.

Please describe what are the features and benefits of an M-445. I do not mean the Noble House jacket, rather the originals.

Anyone having first-hand experience with any reproduction of the coat from any quality manufacturer please describe.
