The jacket came today, the only worry I have is sleeve length, it is little too long if it's totally unzipped, but if I zipped sleeve it looks fine, I don't know if going to be problem after totally break in.

Looks good. I wouldnt worry about sleeve length. Sleeves on my America are at least as long when unzipped (I am 5'9" and Vanson models their sleeves for 6'9" guys) but after continously wearing the jacket with the sleeves zipped close and the sleeve resting on my wrist, the sleeves have creased a lot and fit shorter now.

Yes , sleeves zipped then no problem.

My Vanson Comet zips the sleeves tighter than any of my other jackets , probably a motorcycling imperative methinks !

Yes, this is a true motorcycle jacket. Everything is tight, and it is less stiff than I imagined, weight 6.6 lbs, heavier than my suburban.

Yes, the Comet is tight as are my other vanson. But I have to say, the ******** sleeves, when zipped, are tiiiight. I like it but can see how some may have an issue. No more forearm exercises for me.

Re the sleeves: i think they are slightly longer than would be customary to account for handle bar reach. However, it seems that they zip so tightly at the wrist it wont't be an issue. I can only zip my watch side 2/3 closed.

Congratulations on a fantastic jacket decision!

I think your sleeves are just right. As that jacket breaks in they will "stack" just slightly so that will pull them a few millimeters up. In the meantime, sipping the sleeves 1/2 or 3/4 usually keeps mine put depending on what I'm wearing underneath. I'm currently in my second year breaking in a Vanson Thunderbird I purchased from Thurston Bros. and it gets better every day. You will not regret that B. And like others have said above, just keep wearing it. When I get a new Vanson I will often wear it while working at the computer or watching TV during the summer while the AC is on. Vansons take time and commitment to get broken in but once they are...man. Nothing better. I have 10 different Vansons now and a few of them I picked up used on eBay in fantastic condition from people who, I'm sure, just didn't want to spend the time breaking them in. And that's just fine. BTW, Carrie at Thurston Bros. is awesome and will bend over backwards to get you the right jacket.

That sleeve length is probably perfect for riding. It looks like it should be a great fit once it really breaks in

I'd like to see a pic with your arms STRAIGHT down - with no bend at the elbows. Also, a shot with them extended straight out in front, like you're holding on to motorcycle handlebars, or a steering wheel.

Wouldn’t change a thing. My favourite part of a thick leather jacket is the heavy creasing on the arms which you won’t get to full effect without some initial length when new. Would you mind posting the measured arm length ?
