Vintage 1940s Plaid Sportcoat 37-38R

Superb 1940s Vintage plaid sportcoat. Unmarked and unlabeled maker, but high quality workmanship throughout. Color is a light tan/yellow/brown plaid, with a nice heavy weave to the wool. Three button single breasted style, two buttons on each sleeve cuff, unvented. Coat is partially lined with taped interior seams. Like new condition with no visible flaws or damage. Size is unmarked but appears to be roughly a 37-38 regular, please see measurements below.


Chest: 39.5" Measured from armpit to armpit and doubled

Shoulder Width: 16.5" Measured across back from seam to seam

Sleeve Length: 24" Measured from top shoulder seam to cuff (appears to have more cloth to let sleeves out further)

Coat Length: 30.5" Measured from top of collar to bottom hem

It is a great piece, though unfortunately is now too big for me to wear well, so hopefully someone else will appreciate it. For all you armhole guys, this coat has really nice and high armholes, even to me as a 36R wearing this coat they still fit well.
