Hello, all! Well, it's getting close to the fall, which means it's time for me to once again unburden myself of some of my collection to raise money for our annual trip to Disneyland.

For now, I only have two hats, and a bunch of pair of vintage eyeglass frames.

One of the hats, a Royal Stetson Deluxe, had its ribbon recently replaced by none other than the extremely talented John Penman. I would absolutely be keeping this hat if it fit me. The auction is here, and I included a nice shot of the awesome ribbon work John did:

This hat is actually more of a very light tan or cream than the photos are making it out to be.

Next, I have a 30s/40s Royal Sunnington, which is a particularly beautiful hat. I really didn't want to sell this one, as I've had it almost ten years, but I need to raise some cash. This is a fine, fine hat:

Then I have a bunch of vintage eyeglass frames, which I thought some of you might enjoy. I've been buying frames like crazy lately, trying to find something a little different. These were the ones which I loved but either didn't fit me, or didn't suit my face. Most are from the 50s and 60s, but some are more 1940s:

SPOILER ALERT: The Tart Arnels will end up being expensive, as they are the same model, color, and era that Johnny Depp wears.

I have a few more things to sell, but they won't go up until early September.

Thanks everyone!

Seeing these beautiful hats only confirms my quest to obtain a professional level hat stretcher, to end the pain of seeing so many hats being sold that just would not fit me at this time. Good luck with your sales, I am sure you will bring a good price on what you are selling.

Thanks for the kind words, all.
I definitely feel fortunate when it comes to head saze and hats...but I find it's a pain in terms of glasses. Smaller sized frames have proven to be somewhat difficult to find.
My daily wear glasses are vintage Tart Arnels in black, size 42-24. Kind of a tricky thing - I need a small lens size, with a slightly bigger bridge size, which can make it tough. The next thing I'm obsessed with getting is a pair of Tart FDRs in either Amber or Black (or the incredibly rare Blackwood), in 44 lens size (smallest they made the FDR). I actually found a pair of NOS Blackwood FDRs, size 44-24 - but they were $600. Couldn't justify spending a total of $800 (including lenses) on a pair of glasses. Especially with two very active kids, and being a working musician (my previous specs, some 40s American Opticals, perished on stage recently)...I didn't want to chance being the one to destroy a pair of NOS Blackwood Tart FDRs!
