Vintage 40s or 50s Stetson Whippet 7 1/4 for sale

I am selling a 40s or 50s Stetson Whippet size 7 1/4. The hat is a beautiful toupe or olive green with matching 1 1/2" grosgrain ribbon and and matching brim treatment . The hat is in excellent condition and in a color that you don't see that often. The only issues are two small moth divots on the bottom of the brim (see photos) which can not be seen when the hat is worn. The liner is a bit soiled but not overly so with some faint foxing. The leather sweatband and soft and pliable and firmly attached to the hat. It has a 5 1/2" crown with center dent and 2 1/2" brim. The sweatband has the previous owners initials "AJG" Gould's Mens Shop, Clinton, MA. I did a google check and Gould's Mens Shop is still in existance. The store opened it's doors in 1934. I am asking $425.00 plus $8.50 shipping.

This is a size 7 1/4. It fits a bit on the larger side of 7 1/4 so I have a thin foam insert behind the sweat so I can wear it.

Vintage Stetson Whippet 7 1/4 for sale (price drop, see 17Sep12 posting for photos)

I have been having problems posting photos, which I think has been corrected. I started a new thread post in the classifieds on 17 Sep 12 with photos. If you can't see any photos I will gladly send them to you if you provide me with your email. All reasonable offers will be considered. This is a very nice hat as the photos show. I really don't want to sell it on EBay if I don't have to.
