Nice borsalino woman's velour cloche in black with original box.
Excellent condition. No moth nips. Soft and very luxurious feeling. Nice gift for the wife or mistress perhaps.

How wide is the brim on that - is it a finished hat or a felt blank? I ask, as there is no sweat band or ribbon, not that there's anything wrong with that...

This is a finished hat to be worn as a woman's floppy hat style. It does not have a sweatband in it nor was there ever one in it.
It sounds like your thinking of making in to a fedora, I don't think this is the way to go for that, but what do I know.

No, no, not looking to convert it, just curious whether it's a finished hat. It looks hard to measure - can you estimate the size and brim width?

Folded in half flat it measures 10" from top of hat to edge.
As for size its probably around a 7 1/4 or about

Hat is available. This fit on my 7 1/4 open crown block that measures 22 1/2 around.
So I would say this hat would safely fit a 22-22 1/2 size head comfortably .
