Hi guys,
I heard from Charlie last night that he had finally gotten some of the vintage bodies he's been waiting for. He's quite pleased with what he sees so far, but he's going to finish one or two hats to see how they finish out.
I know how you guys like vintage felt, and since Charlie is willing to sell these bodies unfinished, you might even have Optimo make you a genuine vintage hat from one of them.
Charlie has discovered since I last posted that there is an even larger lot of them available, so maybe with genuine vintage felt available, those of us with heads that don't match those that were common in the good old days can have the real thing.
Maybe you can even get one in a 7 7/8! We all know who's been looking for one of those for a while. Even my 7 5/8 gourd is hard to squeeze into the 6 7/8 to 7 3/8 sizes that seem to be more plentiful.
Anyway, I hope they turn out to be something special...
Myron
