Vintage Lee fedora 7 1/2

Nice vintage 60s Lee fedora. Recently refreshed with 2 3/8 raw edge brim(had a 1/2 overwelt) Few stitch marks show on bottom and top looks fine.
Crown as bashed is 4 1/2. Leather sweat is solid and liner is clean. Plastic protector intact.
Size tag and price tag of $10. In sweatband.
Color is a very nice charcoal with a blue cast to it, very difficult to photograph with I phone.
Felt is in very good overall condition. Measures 8 1/4x 6 5/8.

About how tall is it open crown?

How would you say it compares color wise to the steel grey felt the custom hatters use?

Marshall, I'll measure crown when I can and post.
Not familiar with the custom steel grey color but I do know that this is the hardest hat I've had to photograph as the color just doesn't come across exactly , but these pics are the closest to actual color.

You and I have been down this road before (LOL). Is it a loose or tight 7 1/2?

Hey there terry nice to hear from you . I would say it fits me a little on the loose side and I wear a 3/8 LO,
Having said that it would probably steam out fine to fit a full 71/2 size. I think it lived in its box for a long time and may have contracted over time.
