My favorite time of year--baseball season overlaps college football. I love the fact that much of the sports merchandise that one can buy is retro in its look--not only team brands but vintage jerseys, caps from Orvis, J. Peterman, etc. Today I will wear my father's 1951 vintage USC hat in Cardinal and Gold corduroy for the season's first game. Of course, in '51, people still dressed up for a football game. Here's to all the vintage college football fans! Fight on.
