Most LW jackets I see on the forum look like they have a very heavy top coat that gives a smooth appearance to the leather. I doubt that spraying water will do much to them.

Water wont do anything...... Roll it up and use it as a pillow, sit on it , keep kneading it , sit on the couch watching TV with it on ......repeat as needed !!

Water by itself won't do much difference, if any. You need to apply the Japanese rope ******* technique if it's the creases you want.

But yeah, not much you can do to speed up the break-in process other than wear it.

I just Googled some images of LW jackets and when you see that leather really broken in, you see the real character that develops over time. The brand new LW topcoat finish may look impregnable, but the real reward comes when you wear the hell out of it and your once-new jacket starts to resemble these images.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure these are all lighter hides, the 3oz ones.
