Website ideas?

Hi Loungers,
I'm hopeing to get a website for my men's habadashery up and running sometime soon. I was wondering what men's clothing websites (if permissible, I hope that I'm stepping out of line) that you like the design/layout. Also, what would you like to see from a design standpoint. Any ideas would be helpfull. Thanks.

Three things bother me about websites in general, regardless of the ultimate content: so much flash programming that the website looks more like a movie than anything else, such advanced graphics that the site takes a long time to load, and built in sound that automatically plays.

Two examples that exemplify what is good about haberdashery sites:

Vintage Silhouettes

Magnoli Clothiers

Both have sleek layouts without being intrusive, and are easy to navigate.

i agree.

-simple but stylish design
-easy to navigate
-no long-winded intros or annoying music
-clear info. a lot of clothing sites have too much bitty information everywhere

Look at the fixed reference libraries I've compiled at the top of the WWII room. Some great links to super websites. Look at the Eastman Leather Clothing one!! think font, style, layout, colour..etc.
