Wedge vs. bell shirt bosoms

I came across a 1931 ad that referred to formal shirts available "in regular wedge and bell bosoms." Has anyone ever come across these descriptions of bosom shapes before? Here's the illustrations that accompany the ad, if they're any help:

Shape of the stiff panel at the front, maybe? One of those is flat at the bottom, the other curves....

Edit - never mind, I see you get that... I've not heard the terms before, though.

The top one is often called 'coffin' shaped. The bottom one is the standard shape for the bib.
