Catalena Hatters:
That’s a HAT Brent
That’s a HAT Brent
Looks like one of theirs. Is that a new one?
Great looking hat! I like that one a lot!
Thank you DDGreat looking hat! I like that one a lot!
I just unboxed it today. It’s a keeper...after a ribbon replacement.

By Open Road I assume you mean it's hard to open the crown? I push it open by hand then use a little steam in areas that you need to smooth out a bit. I use a large stainless steel spoon like a serving spoon to work against both inside against the liner & outside against the felt, as needed. Don't use a large aluminum spoon as it can leave marks on the felt when wet. A hard wooden ball or wooden egg can be good to use also. How did you make those creases on the CD. My heritage is tough to Open Road.
Nice Brent.
Good looking black hat, Joe.
This is a tan Resistol Stagecoach that I converted a little while back. For this hat I used an M1899-1902 Campaign for inspiration. It's still a work in progress...

I was working on another one but it just wasn't doing it for me, also a Resistol...

NOTE: No Resistols with 4 inch brims were harmed in these conversions
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Thank you buddy! I loosely based it off this actual Marine Corps reproduction, except that I gave my brim a cowboy curl as well as adding a few tweaks of my own to the crown...Nice! Looks to have a bit of a "Fort Worth Crease" there on the front of the crown.
Thanks PerryNice Brent.
