Was thinking, you’ve obviously done some reenacting. I always came from the historical & research side. Did you ever attend any of the conventions & reunions for NOLA, James -Younger Gang, or Quantrill Society Reunion for example? Wondering if we might have crossed paths?

I was always more drawn to the action side of things, than reenacting, but I did some of that too. Crossed paths? We sure might have, it's a small world. :>)

A Miller Brothers 4x in forest green, John-creased. I looked long and hard for this, and tried a Tom Mix crease before going to what I call the "Gambler," crease (yes, this style looks good on me, and I have a few).

I have one of these (Miller now calls them Gambler) and I love it. Jake was very professional and I intend to buy from them again.

As a resident of Clearwater, FL, I was very disappointed when I found out that Clearwater Hat Co., is not, in fact, in Clearwater. That is a great hat, though.

My other black Stetson today, a not quite Vintage 7X.

This 4x is an unusually nice felt. I wasn’t expecting too much difference from a similar year 3x, but it is a very nice upgrade for both hand and dry crease mold-ability.

And a question about this blocking. I couldn’t find another #852, but it also has seemingly identical blocking as some of my other #52 block 6x3’s.

Does anyone else own a long oval with additional digit blocking #’s? In other words, I’m wondering if the 852 is a designation of 52 block for LO.

I also found the reed sewing to be unusual, haven’t seen another with that style of needle work.
