My rain hat for this dark morning was a Ritch Rand 8X.

Thanks, Jack. I'll have to dig out my black homburg and see how it works.

I may look the part but I hope not to be as evil, mean and nasty as LaHood...and I hope I live longer, too!
I was watching the movie again recently & you posted a pic with one of your Gannon’s. I was struck by the similarity.

One of my favorites, if not the top dog, of yours Jack!
Thanks Ross, I appreciate that! You have some nice vintage bigger Westerns too. I need to take more recent pics. I tried to crease it back original but can’t quite get the crown top rounded up enough without a block. I removed the horsehair although I think it’s probably been on this hat for a very long time.

HJ, I do believe that the TG, and especially your TG, is the single finest-looking "go big" Stetson ever made. The Big Country is a poor, poor, entry into that category. I bow to you, sir.
No need to bow Mark. Just hold out & buy the best you can, & keep it original.

One that still eludes me is this one in my size, in Nutria. I bought the one pictured once but when it got to me the front pinch was spider webbed so bad I knew it wouldn’t be long until that produced a hole.. So I returned it to the seller. Still looking.

I can get pretty close cloning one but it’s not Nutria, & it’s not there.

Will be looking forward to it, love seeing these old beauties!
