Ain't that something Chas? That just so happens to be the same song I'm listening to. Great station by the way!

Due to the recent rekindling of my love for the 50's country:

78s to kick February out the door headfirst by --

Starting off in 1932 with Hal Kemp and his Orchestra, and a smooth Skinnay Ennis vocal on "It's Winter Again." I was astonished to turn on the TV the other night and hear this exact record used as the soundtrack to a commercial for Royal Carribean Cruise Lines. Somebody, somewhere, in the dark, dank depths of an ad agency, is One Of Us.

Next, ahead to 1933 with Ted Weems and the boys, and a pogo-stick arrangement of "Sittin' Up Waitin' For You." I've loved this song ever since I heard Alice Faye sing it on a Rudy Vallee broadcast, and while Parker Gibbs is no Alice, he does a credible job with the vocal.

Nothing better than classic country. I'm listening to Elizabeth by the Statler Brothers right now.

Conway Twitty is by far my favorite singer of all time.

Thanks very much. I always appreciate hearing from our listeners. Got any requests?

Listening to one of the other wonderful original R&B voices of the 20th. C.

Clyde McPhatter.
