I picked up a 4-CD boxset of songs by Maxine Sullivan from Proper Records. She was an exceptional singer, a real "singer's singer." I love these Proper boxsets. I have nearly 140 of them (out of about 155.) 5 hours of music for about $25, plus a very well researched and written book that's usually 24 to 48 pages. Highly recommended.

I was in Salt Lake City over the weekend for a conference. With quite a bit of time to kill before my plane left Sunday afternoon, I wandered around Temple Square and did some sight-seeing. I arrived at the Mormon Tabernacle just in time to catch an organ recital. It was magnificent.
