You can't go wrong with Linda. I was so happy that she was finally inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, for whatever it's worth. It's too bad that they waited so long and it turned out to be too late.

Tonight I have been listening to the 4 CD set of Artie Shaw's live broadcasts from 1938 and 1939. Well, I am not listening to the entire 4 CDs since I am at work, but I made it half way through CD 1 on the commute to work. The last song I heard was one of Artie's longer versions of In The Mood. It was 5 minutes long (not the famous 6 and a half minute version, but darn close). From the sounds of it, this version may have been recorded in 1938, almost a full year before Glenn Miller even tried to record it.

Yes, he is. And it is always good to hear that the musicians you enjoy are nice people. I have found many of the musicians whose concerts I frequent to be nice normal enough people.
