I was referring to Hemingway's Paris....the Lost generation Paris.....Paris of the 1920s.

Today's France is a far cry from that France.

That's what I meant.

You don't look old enough to have known 1920's Paris. I just hope that your current view of France is based on first hand experience & not a Tweet from the present occupant of the White House.
I think you'll find though, that all cities & countries have changed since the 1920's.
