The cigars get their name because they are packed in the box 8 on the first layer, 9 on the second layer and 8 on the last layer of the box. They are 6 1/2" and a 43 ring gauge. They are nice and some consider them strong ---but they aren't.

Found a pretty nice box of Partagas 8-9-8 today. Thinking of buying it. Had a Por Larranaga 8-9-8, the Encantos. Very good cigar. Also had a Hoyo du Depute and a Monte Especial #2.
