I didn't know there was any other recipe but Chandler's! lol
Hahahah! Yeah, sounds just like him. "a real gimlet is half gin and half Rose's lime juice and nothing else."[SUP][[/SUP]
Rose's is sweetened lime unless you use the lime juice cordial.
Well, I've got the ingredients, I guess I'll have to try both tomorrow night. I have Rose's lime juice and some cheap gin since I'm not drinking all of it in G&T's anyway.
Give it a try and let us know which one works best for you. I am partial to the four to one.
Pepsi and Wakefield Brothers Whiskey
While the peaches are coming off of the trees- Thoroughbred cocktail
Peaches this late?! My peaches and nectarines are all done for the year no. I do have some from the neighbor behind me though. His tree must bear later than mine. They are kind of small though since he didn't thin them. [huh]
2 ounces Bourbon 1 1/2 ounces peach puree
1 ounce lemon juice
3 dashes Angostura bitters
splash club soda
1 slice candied ginger, for garnish (optional)
That's the one! I use a sliver of vanilla bean to garnish rather than ginger.
I have Red Haven and Hale Haven. Red Haven come off around the end of July, Hale Haven two weeks later.
Hmmmm.... I have never heard of those but they might be better suited to your area than mine so it makes sense.
Ok, that recipe sounds fine but I would use Rye instead of Charcoal Juice.
18 year glenlivet with a Dunhill
That sounds like it would go good together. Last night I had a Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength with a San Cristobal El Morro.
Blatz. It must taste better over there.
Sat and sipped some Walker black while Maurice ran laps around the backyard.
Closer to home.
NO James, ET Just phoned...
 I wonder how many people will get that old reference.
