A small local adventure yesterday:

So I found the tree farm... didn't open until 2pm, which didn't leave me enough time to get back to pick up the kids from school(s). In any case, I decided to take the three kids with me back to the farm after school before they closed at 5pm!

Hey-- I can see Iowa from here! (literally where the flat ends and the ridge begins.)

Let's see, so many choices. Some help from the kids didn't hurt.

This one, Dad! (This is what a musician looks like trying to cut down a tree.)

It put up a good fight... and won. Hey where'd dad go?
