Thanks Buler - and everyone else. Most of the time, I'm posting with snaps taken with a Nikon D80. The last couple of times I've posted have been snaps taken using the Nikon Coolpix P300 we recently picked up on sale from B&H. All are straight out of the cameras without any manipulation (pre or post).

Sunny day in Minnesota. Out and about this moring in my Stetson Viscount. Tim (AKA - Cane Maker) reminded me that I had not worn the hat in a while. Marvelous hat. I like to wear the hat with a small center dent. I like the height of the sides of the fedora - it shows the color and texture of the felt.

Camel colored is truly stunning inperson.

David, I liked the scale and height of that Borso you were sporting this morning, seemed very right for you, or was it the angle? Whichever, it struck me as a great fit.

Thanks, Ray. There is probably at least a little distortion in the shot with the Borsalino - wide angle lenses for cell phone self portraits are like that, as you know.

Having said that, the Borso has a nice 5 3/4 high crown and 2 5/8 brim which I think makes great fedora proportions. The Portis I was wearing today has a lower crown (about 5 3/8 I think) and it shows. I don't wear that one so much, but I like it - mainly for the cool ribbon colour as much as anything.
